New Year with New Sock

I did. Its really unexpected gift from a friend.

Yesterday was my 1st day of work after few day off. And as I lay my bag on my chair, there it was a brown envelope on my keyboard. Its quite a surprise since I didn't expecting anything but book (since I ordered book from online store). But this package was to light for a book. I turned it around... and...Taraaaa!!! It was from Mba Tety.. a friend of mine from Dinamic CroKnit mailing list. Gosh!! Isn't she nice?? sending me this... beautiful thing that she made by herself.

Sneak Peek from Indonesian Crochet & Knit Festival 2011 (FRI)

Hi y'all!!
Hows ur weekend?
Mine was GREAT although got headache for few days. But the rest was so AWESOME!!!

There was Crocheting & Knitting Festival that held  in Bank Mandiri Museum (Kota) from 16 to 17 Juli 2011. Our Dinamic CroKnit group opened 1 stand there. Selling books and our craft project.

New Book from Netherland

Hi!!!

Just wanna share my happy day!!!

Yesterday I received a package from my auntie and found lots of good stuff inside.

2 pair of shoe, trousers, glasses and these 2 book which I LOVE the MOST.

Both of them are about knitting. 

This one here is about some stitches of knit. 

While this one, GOSH!! I really love all the pattern here. 

All I want now is to find someone who understand dutch, can knit and willing to help me translating this book so I can try the pattern.

Anyone care to help me??

Our Book; Rajutan Inspiratif

I'm sooo Happy!!

Alhamdulillah... our cro-knit book is finally finished.

This is DC 1st book and guess what?!? It's also the 1st cro-knit book which made by a bunch of people. There are 10 people in this book. For me, it was a great honor. I never imagine that I will write a pattern. Not even once. So when Sis Thata asked me to joined her writing in this book, its like dream. 

She's not only asking me to write a pattern but she also encouraging me to do it. So even I can only write one pattern for this book, but I'm happy. Coz I got lots of lesson in the process.

Festival Rajutan Indonesia 2011 (Indonesia Knit and Crochet Festival)

Salut to my dear crochet and knit lovers!!
It's July now and 10 days more to Indonesian Knit and Crochet Festival 2011.

This event will be held in Musium Bank Mandiri (Jakarta) on July 16-17 2011. Lots of fun will happened. Bazaar, Crochet n Knitting Course, Workshop and many more. And guessed what?!?! You might have a chance to meet your fav. designer like Thata Pang.

So don't forget to mark ur calendar ladies!!

1st Knitting Bag

Remember my last post???

I already finished that thing on Sunday.

And Voila...

It's a simple knitting bag with rattan handle and a flower brooch.

Bag Material : 

3/4 ball Thalenta Softy Wool (Blend), 40cm of 4.00 circular needle and rattan hadle.

Flower Material:

Small amount of Thalenta ICT plain, 4/0 hook, plastic button, green ribbon and brooch pin.

Still searching fabric for its lining though.

Hows your weekend??

Mine is Great coz I finally finished my longest WIP (still remember my prev. post??). 

It feels great when I finally finished this thing. I spend about 4 ball of Softy Cotton (@100gr) from Thalenta. Using 5.00, 4.5, and 4.00 bamboo nedlee. I finished this with help from Sis Rini. Thanks a lot sis ^_^

Hmm.. I think I start to like knitting :D

 

Seedstitch Scarf

How's ur weekend??

Hope all of you guys had a great weekend ;)

Me??

Well.. I just practicing my knitting and still with simple thing. So yesterday, after doing my laundry (which I thought will never end), I started to knit again. The plan is to knit a seed-stitch scarf. Yup.. just a scarf. I was wrong at first coz my friend said that to make a seed-stitch, you just have to knit 1k1p and 1p1k in the next row. So I did that. What happened next was.. NO SEEDSTITCH at all. In fact it looked like ribbing.

So I tried again and again.

It turned out that at 1st, I made those cast on in uneven number so when I reverse the p and k in the next row they don't turn into seed stitch *sigh*

And now... I finally made it.

I use a Gold curly yarn (bought it last year @Hobby Craft) and mix it with  Coffee Creme (for me the color is like coffee creme) Thalenta ICTS with bamboo DPN 5.00mm. 

I know.. I know... it still long way to go. But I'm so happy with this knitting thing. That's why I wanna share it here.

Aqua Knit Square

Why?!?!?
Coz I finally make it!!
A knitting square.
I know... its just knit and purl. Nothing special.
But.....
This is the 1st time for me to knit a square.
And...
This also my very berry 1st time using circular needle.
Yay!!!!!

5 Day Crochet Challenge: Headband

Still with me on 5 Day Crochet Challenge at Dinamic Crochet.

This was my 4th challenge (Dec23). A Headband. Made this one from Thalenta's Softy Cotton. I knitted this for practicing drop stitches that I learned few month a go and just added 3 crocheted flower.

Flowery Headband

Long time no see you friends ^_^

Today I just wanna post my headband. Just made it last week. Well.. I'm supposed to made shawl for DC's 2nd Gathering, but since I don't really like wearing shawl, so I made a headband.

So simple. I just knitted dropstitch (that's the only knitting i know beside knit and purl) using Thalenta's Softy Cotton with 3.75 DPN. Make it about 55cm then fold it and sew it. After that, i just adding some application which i crocheted with Indonesian cotton.

 And.... VOILA!!!

Booties Pertama Bunda

Pagi ini Nda mau pamer booties buatan bunda niih. Jadi, sepulang dari retreat, bunda tuh penasaran banget untuk bikin booties. Dan ternyata, bunda dah catet salah satu pola booties dari temen milis Nda -Viqa-.

Booties ini dibuat dengan dpn 4mm, dan benang softy (lupa yang berapa ply). Biar ga terlalu polos, ditambahkan renda warna hijau (crochet). Jadi dehhhh.

Girlie banget yaaa ^_^

Knit Pertama

Akhirnya selesai jugaaaa. Legaaaaa!!!!

Booties hijau yang baru sebelah ini adalah proyek knitting pertama Nda. Mulai bikinnya sih hari sabtu (11/7) di arena Festival Rajut Indonesia, tapi baru selesai semalem sambil nonton The Nanny di Hallmark.

Awalnya ga ada niat buat merajut, tapi berhubung ada banyak sekali kompor, plus sayang sekali melewatkan kesempatan belajar gratis dari para guru di DC, jadilah dibulatkan tekad untuk bisa. Sampe jarumnya aja minjem :D.

4 guru - 4 gaya. Yang ada Nda cuma bisa ber 'ooo' panjang tiap kali mereka jelasin atau kasih contoh. But its really fun.

Ahh jadi pengen cepet-cepet buat yang sebelahnya. Kasian kan bootiesnya masih yatim :D
